Need some prompts to get started with your review?
Reviews can be very simple! All you need to do is share what you thought about the book. Imagine you’re telling your YA fantasy-loving best friend about the book. What would you say?
• If you read it in a day and couldn’t put it down, you can share that.
• If you’re a mood reader and had to wait until you were in the mood for _______, share that.
• If you loved a specific character or scene, say so. Let everyone know why if you want!
• How did you feel while reading the book? Did it make you laugh, cry, toss the book across the room?
• What did you like or love about the book? Compliment sandwich away!
• Are you excited about book two? Will you continue the series?
• What quote(s) stood out to you?
• Did it remind you of any books, TV shows, or movies? Give you a certain vibe?
• Who would you recommend the book to?
“If you like ________, you’ll love this book” is one of my go-to review starter templates! I’ll add tropes I noticed in the book, titles of books or TV shows it reminded me of, and anything else I’d share with a friend when talking about the book.
